Best Snowboard Clothing Brands

Snowboard Clothing Brands

My name is Lorraine, as a snowboarding instructor, I’ve bought and tried many snow gears from a lot of different brands.

There are many aspects to snowboarding. Some of them directly correlate to riding through the snow, and some correlates to when you’re out in the world.

One such example is good apparel. Though every snowboarder needs great clothes for the mountain, die-harders who want to show their appreciation for the sport can get everyday apparel as well.

In this article, I’ll list a few of the best snowboard clothing brands (in my opinion). The companies make great garments with a serious style that will surely show your appreciation all year round.

1. Burton

Burton is probably the biggest name in snowboarding, and the sheer amount of clothing options they have to offer riders is why they make the list.

Just about any sort of clothing items you can imagine, Burton has.

They have standard snowboards, boots, and bindings, but their apparel goes far beyond that. They’ll have anything you’re looking for, and make sizes for men, women, and kids.

My favorite thing about Burton clothing is the sheer number of options they offer. The brand is enormous, which allows them to put out new designs and styles every season.

The brand also likes to experiment with their offerings, meaning you can find some unique items that will add a lot to your snowboarding style.

They make some great, extremely comfortable hoodies that are durable and water-resistant.

I know some riders will shy away from Burton just because they are such a popular brand. While I understand that sentiment, their sheer size means you can always find a sale if you want high-quality clothing at an affordable price.

2. Never Summer

Another great company that makes awesome snowboard clothing is Never Summer. This Colorado-based brand has been building hand-made snowboards with strong durability and great performance for decades.

However, their apparel has also been popular with locals and die-hards as well. While they don’t have as large of a selection of some of the more well-known brands, the quality and style of their clothing is why Never Summer makes the list.

The company continues to put out new styles of clothing every season and always offers some great options for t-shirts, hoodies, hats, and flannels. These items all feature unique and innovative graphics.

They are comfortable and durable as well. I have a Never Summer t-shirt that has lasted me over 15 years, which is a testament to the clothing’s durability.

3. Volcom

Another solid option for snowboarding clothing is Volcom. The brand hypes itself as a “skate, surf & swimwear, and snowboard lifestyle brand.” So they have plenty of options regardless of what your favorite board sport may be.

This diversity in what they have to offer makes the brand a great shopping destination for any or all of your snowboarding clothing needs. I’ve always liked the fit of Volcom gear, it’s comfortable without being too tight or too baggy.

Volcom also makes the official clothing of the US Snowboard team which means they have some really cool options to support the team when the Winter Olympics roll around.

I really like and recommend the USST Beanie that they have as well as this awesome hoodie.

The company offers everything from hats and hoodies like the options above to t-shirts, flannels, pants, and shorts making them a one-stop-shop for snowboard clothing.

4. ThirtyTwo

Another one of my personal favorite snowboard clothing brands is ThirtyTwo. This brand has a wide range of clothing options with a subdued look. That gives them a unique style other brands can’t match. They make some of the best socks and base layers out there.

Each one is warm, durable, and looks great. The flannel shirts that they offer are also renowned for their style and comfort.

Whether you’re looking for some functional apparel that can serve you well on the mountain or some cool street clothes that will show off your support of snowboarding, ThirtyTwo has plenty of options.

Their items are varied, stylish, and built to last. All of them will make great additions to your wardrobe, regardless of how often you get out in the snow.

5. Arbor

One of my personal favorite snowboard clothing brands is Arbor. The company has a unique and appealing vibe. They offer some awesome choices when it comes to snowboards and skateboards, but their clothing also matches and often exceeds their boards in both look and design.

Arbor also has a strong commitment to using sustainably sourced materials in their clothing, which makes it a good ethical choice for your apparel.

The brand offers a wide range of clothing options. Beyond their apparel, they have a line of jackets not meant for the snow.

Those have a vintage, function appeal that’s extremely comfortable thanks to their cotton canvas build. Their t-shirts and hoodies are also some of the most comfortable you’ll find, making them perfect for traveling or just lounging around the house.

I personally like the knit style shirts that Arbor offers. These 100 percent cotton long-sleeve style shirts are great to wear just about any time, whether that’s out on the town or in more casual situations.

All in all, Arbor is a top snowboard clothing brand known for its style, comfort, and environmentally conscious approach.

Final Words

The five brands mentioned above make some of the highest-quality and most stylish snowboard clothing around. With all of the options that these companies have to offer, you can be sure to find whatever you’re looking for.

However, remember there are plenty of other snowboard brands out there that also offer clothing. You might know of a local company or a smaller brand that could use your support.

If so, buy an item of clothing from them as well. You can never have too much snowboard clothing, right?
